Let’s talk about stripes and patterns
I have another mini haul for you! I have received a couple of things over the past weeks (these posts about what I’ve purchased make me realise I have gone a little overboard, but let’s blame it on the sales and exams!). Everything is purchased from different online shops.
This sparkling piece of clothing is a beautiful nude coloured dress detailed with sequins in gold, copper and silver. The detailing is amazing and gives such a nice effect (almost looks like marble don’t you think?). Since I’m very fair it is kinda hard to make this colour work in combination with my skin colour. I mostly try to avoid nude colours for dresses or clothes cause it can easily give the illusion that I’m naked. But I thought some colour variation in my wardrobe might be nice. I paired this dress with black tights to make my fair skin less obvious. It can definitely be considered as a dress for a night out as well. Personally I think it would have been even more perfect if it were just a bit longer but I love it nonetheless.
Thursday the 23rd of January it was my 7th year anniversary of my boyfriend and I. We didn’t do anything special to celebrate since I was studying for my exams. Since he never knows what to get me he asked me to make a wish list so he could pick something from that list as a present. I really did like that idea because this way you will receive something you have wanted for some time and get a lot of use out of it. I have been searching for a similar dress as this one below. I love the black and gold colours combined with the baroque print. I didn’t find the exact one but eventually ended up with the one on the second picture.
Now let’s talk about stripes. I’m loving the zebra print at the moment. Animal prints have always been a classic for me. I like subtle leopard prints (I know this print has a lot of extreme reactions, either you hate it or you love it) and zebra prints are just a very nice way to incorporate a print in your wardrobe with classic black and white colours. My purchases are mostly inspired by other bloggers because outfit pictures can really show the possibilities of a certain clothing item. This outfit was my inspiration for my zebra related purchases.
I went for this skirt which happened to be in sale. I don’t usually wear a lot of skirts so this will be a challenge for me to style.
Last but not least I also went for this super comfy and warm zebra printed cardigan. It’s a little on the long side but it is just the most comfortable cardigan ever. I combined this with a faux leather black pants to get a mix of different textures.
Have a nice weekend!
Love,
Natasja
