Customizing iPhone icons
I’m one of those girls who really loves changing up my iPhone covers. Since you can’t really change your phone 24/7 I like to just change the look of the phone with either covers or backgrounds. It gives me the same feeling as when I’m in a new outfit. However some annoying things about Apple is that they don’t give you a lot of freedom (read ‘no freedom at all’) what customizing icons and the software in general concerns.
About 2 years ago I was searching for a way to change the look of my iPhone applications without having to jailbreak my phone. I found an app where you had a lot of background options and could also change up the look of your application icons on the iPhone. The free app is called CocoPPa. If you don’t like to change the appearance of your apps you can perfectly use this for the cute backgrounds alone, there are multiple to choose from for different types of iPhones.
If you do want to change the look of your applications you have to know that your old applications aren’t replaced or deleted by using this app. You basically create a shortcut to the real application. Therefore you will have the apps double (the original ones and the customized ones). You can easily put the old ones in a folder all together so you just end up seeing the cute and lovely ones you chose yourself.
On the app you have complete sets (background with fitting icons) as well as seperate icons and seperate backgrounds. You can just choose whatever you want and name it yourself. It’s even possible to create your own designs and upload them to the app.
